Are these French for sure? I was fairly sure it wasn't called AIDS in France, but SIDA- syndrome de l'immuno-déficience acquise. A technicality, but if it is, I guess it's just targeting the international market.

I know the tragedy that is AIDS, and I'm all for anything it takes to promote awareness. But seriosuly, when I saw that all I could think was: that is one lucky scorpion!
Although once you think about the message, it is effective...in a way.

It's effective if you think that there's a hot guy making a scorpion very happy, while he should be making a person happy. I dunno, it seems like a bad SAT analogy.
Scorpion is to "SIDA" as Guy is to _____?


EDIT: Yeah, it defintaly says "AIDES" at the bottom, which isn't French OR English

I think the ads are rather effective--it's a different country folks, a different continent and a country that's WAY older than ours.

I doubt the French would find the Budweiser frogs an effective ad tool either.

And I don't think America is in any position to dictate AIDS policy to the rest of the world--we have plenty of ignorance and unknowingly poz people right here--just as many if not more than France.
