Started yesterday.
Nadal just won...although frankly I find it impossible to watch him. That OCD ritual just nauseates me no end. Nothing personal against him, I just can/t watch it. Sharopova up next.

Just got back from visiting family in Phoenix so I've been out of the Roland Garros loop.
Glad he won but he's not alone in the OCD camp. Going back to Billie Jean King, I recall all the greats having it to some degree. It runs from something as innocuous as avoiding the lines on change-overs to the totally annoying "come ons" from some to the top players now when their opponent commits an unforced error. It used to annoy me how many times Djokovic bounced the friggin' ball before serving. And don't even get me started on Marion Bartoli's routine between points.
Serena's getting her ass whipped right now...but who knows?
So far, losing, 6-3, 3-1 (2nd set), vs. skinny Muguruza (not familiar with her).
This is why I like watching the early rounds...
Can't believe that Wawrinka & Serena exited so early. Missed both matches. According to one post-match analysis Muguruza completely outclassed Serena the way Sharapova did to win her breakthrough Wimbledon title. By pro tennis standards, neither Stan, nor Serena, nor Li Na is young so perhaps back-to-back major titles are no longer in the cards.
With Li Na's exit yesterday and Serena's today, the draw is opening up for Sharapova & Ivanovic in their respective halves.
IMO Djokovic is in the tough half of the men's draw. I don't see a challenger for Nadal until his potential semi-final showdown with Murray provided Murray's healthy & confident and can deliver the goods.
Thanks for the updates, tiny3!!!
uh oh...Rodger is in trouble as I type. lost set point in th 2d set vs. tursunov..now playing tiebreaker.
some tourney so far, most of the top seeds are OUT. I like it!
Sharapova's playing like she's got a date with destiny again. She administered a beat-down today. With Serena out, Maria knows that her chances are great at bagging another trophy at Roland Garros. She's got a big test in the next though going against Sam Stosur on clay. And there are several ladies in the other half of the draw that can take all of Maria's lunch money if she's off by just a little bit.
Federer wasn't overly impressive. Can't believe that Djokovic and Tsongas meet in the 4th round.
Javero, you're much more of a buff than me...so what's your opinion on Stosur and Serena, if ya know what I mean?
oh, btw, radwanska's OUT, too.
ooh weeee....Now Federer's OUt. And sharapova's struggling right this mniute with that amazon, Stosur. This week should be TRES interesting.
omg... this is the most amazing first wk of the French open ever! kohlshriber/murray was incredible. 5th set, 12-10. Unreal..although I always root for the underdog.
Sharapova had a brilliant come-from-behind win this morning against Muguruza. She plays Canadian Bouchard in the semifinals. Can't wait for Thursday!
Update:
Monfil coming back in the 3rd set vs. Murray!. Yippee...
I just love me some underdogs. The womens' is gonna be awesome, too, I think.
Now, it's 2-1 Monfils - 4th set.
It's official. Rafa Nadal vs. Andy Murray semifinal on Friday.
Women's semifinal matches are tomorrow starting with Sharapova vs. Bouchard followed by Petkovic vs. Halep.
I love Grand Slam Tennis!!!
I barely can watch Rafa w/all that crotch and butt picking. It must drive the opponents CARAAAZZZY! Maybe it's some "secret psychological weapon"!? I mean every freaking point. The entire world is watching, Rafa. Can'T some designer get him some new, non sticking undies??
HALEP OVER pETROVIC THIS MORNING...yAY
Sharapova vs. Bouchard right now: 1 set apiece, but close! Of course, I'm for an underdog Finale this weekend...Halep vs. Bouchard?
Rafa vs. Novak should be outstanding too.
