Recieved this from Greenpeace:
Science is clear that burning lots of fossil fuels will make the climate change in bad and dangerous ways. With major consequences hanging in the balance (good future vs. bad future), energy policy decisions being made right now are super important.
New legislation making its way to the US Congress could promote the development of liquid coal, a gasoline substitute that would produce much more greenhouse gas pollution than gasoline. Somewhere in the neighborhood of twice as much! That's the wrong direction for energy development to go. It's a bad idea.

We need real solutions to global warming now. We have to develop clean, safe, renewable energy, and we don't have time to lose. Super greenhouse gas polluting, dangerous, destructive liquid coal is completely the wrong move, and you can help make sure special interests don't make it happen:
Please write to Congress and tell them to say no to liquid coal and yes to the future.
Peace!

this liquid coal thing has been going on since the 90s... what is worse is that the businesses which make this coal turn a profit only from the subsidies and tax breaks that the government gives them, not the actual product...
