I don't want do-nothing senators leading our country. I'd love to see McCain and Obama return their hefty Senate paychecks for the last eighteen months, since neither has done much in Washington to earn them. Not that they did much before.

And Obama has been there about twice as much as McCain.

McCain should also return the disability check he receives from the Navy. He gets another $58,000 tax free for that.

So, if he is on full disability, how is he able to have a job as a Senator, or President?

Back to the point. Good interview. There seems to be a general warmth between the two men.

I wonder if McCain/Palin will do the same interview.

Actually, I wonder if Palin will drop out, now that it has been announced that her 17 year old unmarried daughter is 5 months pregnant. Though apparently, the McCain camp knew this before they asked her to run.

Well, I don't know how he can be President, but since Senators do nothing, that's easy. Besides, his disability is from serving in the military.

Yes, he was shot down.

But, he was able to return to the military after he was freed as a POW, and he returned, eventually, to command a Navy Squadron.

I have no problem with him getting a full pension from the Navy, nor do I have a problem with it being tax-free because it is a disability pension.

I have a problem with someone receiving a disability pension asserting they are able to withstand the rigors of being POTUS.

But, that is just me.

Back to Obama and Biden - liked their ties.

Just keep repeating this generalization over and over but don't assume it is an agreed-up factoid. Perhaps if you are so concerned that YOUR senators do nothing you should work to get somebody else elected. It's funny how many conservatives talk about loving America so damn much that they want to dismantle the constitutionally mandated structure of government.

Careful, JohnBoy, somebody just might start wondering why you hate America so much.
