"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

re: Funniest TV show?

Did anyone catch SCRUBS last night? J.D. was telling Dr. Cox smething, and Dr. Cox stopped him:

"I care about what you're saying even LESS than I care about the following things...:"

The list started with the Republican Convention and went on non-stop, high speed for about 30 seconds, including every current pop reference you can think of. Then, when it seemed he was done, he added...

"Oh.. I forgot.... HUGH JACKMAN!"

re: Funniest TV show?

No Yenta - I'm a Nanny fan too. I think "A Close Shave" is one of the funniest comedy shows ever filmed. It looks just like a modern-day I Love Lucy episode. (Niles arrival with "Bucking for a raise?" is a classic!)

re: Funniest TV show?

We Jews love THE NANNY because we can all see our family in there somewhere. It's at the same time hilarious and frightening!

re: Funniest TV show?

Family Guy is the funniest cartoon.....but the funniest show of all time is I LOVE LUCY (not Seinfeild which TV Guide picked).

re: Funniest TV show?

It's cliche at this point to say, but I LOVE LUCY really is the funniest show of all time and it is the genesis of every other situation comedy on TV right now.

re: Funniest TV show?

I know. Lucy and Desi changed the face of television forever (interacial marriage, first time a movie camera was used to film the show, and many other things). Vitametavegamin is still the greatest tv episode ever.

"Are you unpoopular? Do you pop out at partys?"

Gotta love it!!!

re: Funniest TV show?

Recently, The Office had me rolling.
Not too long ago, Frasier did.
Most of my fondest memories are from the All in the Family/Carol Burnett/M*A*S*H era.
Hard to argue with the classics - and Matt is right, pretty much everything stems from the leaps that Lucy took (although, due respect must be paid to the Burns and the Kramdens)

Pretty much a guarantee is that if Mr. Vilanch had anything to do with the writing, I'm going to laugh. And that's really just an extension of the brilliance of programs like Your Show of Shows.

HEHEHE. Point taken and he was the first one to say about Lucy being the frontrunner for other shows. So, I ask for forgiveness.
