I need a good laugh. What are some of the funniest posts you've ever read? This is my favourite, courtesy of BrodyBaby03:
OK I hope this won't offend anyone...
I have an absolute HORROR and FEAR of Midgets...I can't help it. I KNOW they are people. I know I am terrible but they scare me to such a point of fear...I could die.
WELLLLLLL I went to LA Boheme when it was on Broadway. In one scene my friend gave me our binoculars (we were all the way at the top) and he said "Oh my god you gotta see this look stage right all the way down stage" and I did as I was told .....MIDGET RIGHT THERE....RUNNING NO LESS...I hate when they run....welll I screamed "OH GOD...OH GOD" and I threw the binoculars....and YES...I hit someone....This taught my friend a lesson...find out if midgets are in the show before purchase of tickets is made.
Can you imagine the bandwith that this one could chew up?
that's so halarious because i was thinking of that when i saw this commercial for a nintendo game, and all these midgets are running around in little spandex costumes. it's very creepy.
Yeah, I love that post. It's so offensive and hilarious! "I hate when they run"! LMAO!
Anyone else have their favourite funny posts to share?

I'm not going to rant, because no one would listen anyway. BUT, I would like to simply point out to you that today, when I'm trying to process the horror in Chechnya and the prospect of being judged 'persona non grata' by a portion of the society I live in, reading this didn't help my attempts to bolster my faith in humans. And I really don't think I'm being 'too PC' or anything, I just want to have a little more compassion in my life than this shows.
Well said, DGrant. I'm not sure I would've had the courage to speak so forthrightly. I have found this particular Friday to be one of the most difficult. Though the world is in chaos, people are gloatting in triumph as they exit the NY convention, and we have a rough future ahead, all of us. But death trumps politics, and some events define the lack of humanity in an era. To me, it's hard to watch the footage of the nightmare in Russia and be terribly glib about much of anything.

Auggie - As an actor, I certainly have experienced the need for some sort of comic relief in the midst of tradgedy. And frankly, I'd relish the chance right now to have a chuckle. I'm just not sure it's going to come at the expense of someone else's uncontrollable life situation.
We're going to a small gathering of fellow teachers this evening to have a few cocktails and celebrate the survival of the first week of school. I'm afraid that particular topic will be much on everyone's mind.

I've wept for what happened in Russia. People who attack children have lost sight of their humanity, the one thing they have in common with all men. To see children as expendable means to a political end is one of the lowest pits into which one can sink. I hope they remember in the future that even the people you hate are people. Things like this just aren't worth it.
And I've never been less ashamed of my stinkin' bleeding heart.
i sent my condolences via email to vlad putin. what a horrible, horrible thing. sometimes i don't comment because i worry that putting it here on the boards opens it up to comments that would cause me to...well, i'm not a pacifist. my prayers are with those families and the folks who've lost.

OK....the first post was hilarious, but now you get all depressing. Come on now..Let's start something FUNNY! If I wanted to read a depressing post, I wouldv'e finished the one about the Russians. It's sad and everything, but geez...it's okay to laugh.

See, DGrant, there are some here that feel anything is fair game, especially on the OT board, because they just want have their own special brand of *fun*. And those having their *fun* will soon tell you to lighten up or don't read these threads because all you're doing (in their eyes) is spoiling their *fun*.
And other's sensibilties or any respect towards the board and its members be damned because they're having *fun*. And after all, isn't that all that matters?

If you want to have fun, Captain, come up with something witty. We're not lacking for humor on this board; we just don't seem to find it in the same places as you sometimes.
Whats even sadder is that if this happened in the US it would be on everyones minds. While just because it isnt, its an after thought.
As a small defense, I made the post before I found out about the massacre in Chechnya. My heart goes out to the families who have lost their loved ones.
In your defense, Blue, on just about any other day, that post would've been funny. I remember reading it on the original thread and having tears running down my cheeks from laughing so hard.
I have to leave the room when the oompa loompas come on during Willie Wonka. I've also got issues about my fear of turning into a blueberry. But really, orange little people with giant lollipops? Get me outta there.

my favorite "funny" was from a bloopers post:
When i saw "Joseph and the..." Donny Osmond stopped the show during "close every door" because he ran out of breath, forgot his lyrics, and his mouth was really dry. He literally said something like, "STOP! STOP! *motions to stop the orchestra* Can somebody get me a drink of water?! *water comes from the wings* Where am I know? *whispers* Ok, lets continue."

We need to add "midget" to Every ones a little bit racest
I have said it before and I will say it again. Namo's chanelling of PrincessMimiChica was nothing short of comedy genius. I can't reproduce the post on here as it's long gone. But damn it was good.
I was looking for the quote from Matt about getting off of a bus and being Kristin Chenoweth in a thread I think was about making it on Broadway(any one remember that?) but I started to read other posts of his and couldn't stop laughing and couldn't possibly choose just one... except this, it made me cry:
"I wanna know what CapnHook thinks of this guy -
The REAL Peter Pan
