It's always been a favorite show of mine, and I am really excited for Comedy Central's upcoming "new season." Is anyone else a fan?

Apparently after the show was canceled, Matt Groening was going to make four movies, but then Comedy Central bought the rights to Futurama and will be airing the movies as new episodes in 2008. Adding some filler to make it a little more episodic.

I love Zoidberg too, but Hedonismbot is my favorite, second to Fry.

Oooooh! See, I love the Fry/Leela love connection they teased us with for practically the whole show. (I can't help it, I'm a hopeless romantic ) The last episode left it with a cliffhanger about them....can't remeber what it was. It's been a while. Too bad I don't get comedy central.

Hedonismbot is fantastic. It's hard to believe he's only in two episodes.

Last summer the younger members of a cast I was in used to watch two episodes all the time... "Spanish Fry" and "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings". (The former actually makes for a great drinking game...)

LOVE this show! I have all four DVD sets.

I've never been a fan of Zoidberg though. He's a little too irrelevant for me.

I LOVE Dr. Zoidberg! I love the way he calls Bender "robt" (It's hard to express his yiddish accent in writing, but he says Robot as if there was only one syllable). I love the way he tells little details about himself-- like the episode where the Professor creates a universe in a box and he goes off on the tirade about how he hates boxes, boxes are good for nothing except sometimes the ones you find in the dumpster have cheese stuck to the lid "And once, A PEPPERONI!!"

Yeah And I also love the way the Professor always walks into a room and says "Good News, Everybody!"

And I do appreciate the fact that they planted the seeds for a million plot lines right from the start-- if you watch the very first episode, Lord Nibbler is hiding under the desk when Fry falls into the freezer. It took them two seasons to come back and explain why. But they did....

I love Futurama -- even though I'm only about 2/3 of the way through season 4. Zoidberg is my favorite ("Hooray, I'm helping!"), and I have to admit to thinking Fry is kinda cute.

I've never been afraid to embrace the "I'm able to find an animated character cute" thing.
