re: Futurama vs the Simpsons

Tough to compare. Simpsons is a classic but definitly been on a down trend the past 2 to 3 seasons. Hitting hard when they hit but missing big when they miss, plus they are starting to recycle storylines and are not ashamed to admit it.

Futurama is a little harder to get into cause some of their humor is a little more bizarre and sometimes colder. But I like it alot and I think it got cancelled at the right time cause it never had the chance to get old and played out like the simpsons are becoming. And even though they have the same creator the style is too different to compare.

I give thumbs up to both as I own all the dvd seasons currently out for both shows. If you didn't like futurama before, give it another shot. I promise after 2 or 3 episodes you'll be laughing your arse off.

Simpsons. No doubt.
There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.

re: Futurama vs the Simpsons

The Simpsons Golden Age episodes are better than Futurama, but as a series, Futurama is consistent and much stronger. I love both.

I like both, but Futurama is better in my opinion.

simpson no question about it.
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

Not a fan of Futurama, but I'll watch it. The Simpsons gets my vote.

re: Futurama vs the Simpsons

I was actually watching Futurama with my girlfriend last night. She finds it far more amusing than I do. I think the Simpsons still wins.

(and Family Guy beats both of them.)
I starred in a short film called Magnetic Personality. Check it out!

Haven't watched either one in ages. Or days..

re: Futurama vs the Simpsons

The Simpsons is the funniest and best show on television ... at least until Family Guy returns May 1st.

re: Futurama vs the Simpsons

I am so down on The Simpsons this season. Classic era Simpsons is some of the greatest television ever.
Simpsons seasons 4-9 beat any other 5 years of almost any tv show. All of Futurama is all better than the last three or four Simpsons seasons though.
Still as a whole its Simpsons.
I'm not a big Family Guy fan, I'd rather have King of the Hill.
I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.
