Hello all,
I just had a quick question for anyone who has been to the GMA Summer Concert Series in Central Park. I see that Sarah McLachlan and Norah Jones will be performing there on June 11th. I am a huge Sarah fan and won't be able to see her anywhere else this summer, and I am trying to decide whether or not it's worth going.
It would be a bit of a trek for me, and a very long drive/flight, but I have heard that sometimes, the performers will perform close to a full set, even though they only air a few songs on TV. Does anyone know if this is true, or if it varies artist to artist? I would love to see her perform, especially since it is a free concert, but don't want to make the trip to hear one song. If anyone has gone before and has any information, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
It might vary from artist to artist. I went to see Maroon 5 a couple of years ago, and they did not do anything after the show went off the air.
Personally, I would not go again. Because of the length, I was glad I just happened to be in the city when it was. Plus, you have to get there super early, and stand around in a huge crowd. People were invading my personal space, and it was not fun at all.

Oh wow, that is very good to know, thanks! From what I have read, it seems like it would vary artist to artist. Given the uncertainty, I'm not sure I would like to take the risk. Especially if the venue gets very crowded and uncomfortable.
Thanks so much for your feedback!
I would second that its not worth it. Artists can cancel at the last minute as well and several have. Plus, Lilith Faire is tanking right now, so I'm not sure how much she will be up for performing a huge set for free.

Bettyboy72 - Thanks! I considered that, especially since it would be so close to the time Lilith starts. Thanks again for your input!
