It's not worth it, Corine. Ask the vast majority of host cities- Olympics end up losing them money, whatever they say to sell the bids to their citizenry in the first place. You go for the Olympics to get prestige, and NYC hardly needs to prove itself in any area.

Congratulations to London. You won the pissing contest with Paris, and what could be more ego-gratifying than that? :)
