But why would the NBA be rigged?
It is an illogical assumption.
If it is rigged to get "popular" teams in then they are doing a horrible job.

The Pistons have been known to get lackadasical sometimes - comes from winning all the time. But then they get a wake up call and go back to the fundamentals, wiping the floor with their opponents along the way.
It's a long season and everyone's been gunning for them the entire time. But a team will always beat a single man.
(And then there's our TIGERS!)

LeBron James just had a Kobe moment (though at least he took a few more shots).
He just does not have the talent surrounding him to defeat a Pistons team that was actually focused on defending him.
That is why it is a team sport. One superstar cannot win a seven game series by himself.
