I stubbed my toe in the kitchen VERY badly. I have yet to take off my sock and look at the injured toe...but I've tried ice, and it makes it hurt moooore.
Is there anything else I can do right now to keep myself away from PAIN?
Are you alone in the house? When do your parents get home?

Think of Raul.

My grandma is here, but all she'll do is feel pity for me. My mom won't be home until late...and my dad...that's another story...

LOL! Yes, Raúl could cure the pain.

Suck on it. The toe. It works.

Mkay...I will try...despite how incredibly strange it sounds.
I would take off the sock, and stick your toe in a warm bath. But that's just me, and I honestly don't know what's best.
But DEFINITELY think of Raul!
Feel better. :-0

aww, i hope you feel better.
I'm pretty sure the only anecdote is amputation...

hmm...
Not sure if this will work but try soaking it in Epson(sp?) salt in hot water. That is, if you have it.
Feel better!

Amputation seems to be solution to all of your problems, Cat.
Hmmm. The salt water...I will try that. I think we actually have some Epson salt.
I just looked at the toe. The only damage done--the toenail is bent in a little.

Aw, hang in there. Try icing it, especially if it is swollen. That might help.
I feel your pain. A few months ago, I stubbed my tow on the corner of a wall and then had to walk around a college campus for eight hours (it was my college orientation). When I got home, my pinkie toe was completely purple -- I had broken it!

Thanks for the pity and suggestions, everyone. The salt water, however, is not working. I might just hop in the tub and soak it a litle.
Soak it in warm water for a looooooooooong time (unless it's swollen, in that case, ice.) And read a book to take your mind off it. Also, hug some pillows.
Hope it feels better soon!!
Keep it elevated if possible.
Glad it is feeling a bit better.
soak it in warm water, you do not want it to get infected.....try cleaning it with some sort of antibacterial soap, too
and feel better
I did the same thing about a year ago the only difference is that I broke the toe. There isn't much they can do for a broken toe so I just iced it like crazy (I know it hurts at first, but its worth it), and then limped around for a few weeks. If your toe isn't black and blue you didn't break it so don't worry. Just ice it and try to feel better. And umm...Oh yeah this of Raul!
I was just about to say that it's real easy to break a toe. If it stays too sore to put shoes on, you can try just bandaging it to the next toe. (Put lots of gauze on it to pad the bandage.) Unfortunately, this doesn't work if it was the big toe you hurt.
