Okay, enough with the lesbian man jokes.

That said, Rosie O'Donnell. Okay, not a musician, but pretty damn manly.

Stephen Gateley
That Westlife boy who came out a few days ago

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

That's what I said in my post. I didn't say Stephen Gateley came out a few days ago, now did I?

Wow, there are a lot of gay men in British pop music. Would I be correct in assuming that homosexuality is more accepted in the UK?

i don't think so... Stephen Gately took years to come out and Westlife have been going years! I think with all three the media has been involved with the option either they come out or they'll run the story anyway... at least, that's what happened in the cases of Stephen Gately and Will Young! I can't think of anyone else who is gay in British pop music?

Sorry... re-read post and realise it was my reading error!

I get the sense from having family in the UK that they are much more open and accepting of homosexuality. That's not a blanket statement, but they're less conservative in this respect, I think.

Michael Stipe of REM

But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

I love REM and Stipe was really cool to my friends who met him in Athens. He was very open, too.

Lance Bass from N'sync (Oops, he's not out yet)

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.
