At work a friend's niece sells them in the Spring. Someone else at work sells them in the Fall. I'm their favorite customer. I call my cousin and she calls her friends and they all order boxes and boxes of cookies.
Girl Scout ice cream. Never heard of it.

Edy's makes it. They have tag along, thin mint and carmel delight varieties. They are sinful!

Thin mint ice cream sounds heavenly! I'm going to keep my eyes open for it!
I do miss the Animal shortbread cookies they had last year, shortbread cookies with one side dipped in chocolate...those were yummy!

According to the Edy's website, it's a limited time only - Jan-Apr. You can put your zip code in and it'll bring up the stores in your area that carry it.

Kitz--it's all those darn kids who get them from "the little brownie bakery' instead of "abc bakers"....I think us "East Coasters" know them as peanut butter patties, caramel delights and peanut butter sandwich cookies, instead of Tagalongs, Samoas, and Do Si Dos......
See what a quick google of "girl scout cookies' turns up? LOL

Do Si Do? Now that's just insanity.
My mom says that when we lived in LA the shortbread cookies were better. I guess they had sugar on them or something. I was only 2, and therefore didn't pay much attention to Girl Scout cookies.
And I didn't realize that Kansas was on the East Coast

Oops...sorry...why did I think you were in NJ or something like that?
Mmmmm...maybe it depends on which bakery has a plant closer to you....
I also read that both bakeries are required to make thin mints, peanutbutter sandwich cookies, and the trefoil shortbreads, but that they can choose the other 5 selections, so they're not always the same. I looked at both sites and they both make PB Patties and Caramel delights but then there are a bunch of differences. (Hmmm...can you tell I was home sick today with nothing to do?)

Posted: 3/27/06 at 9:00pmI'm in Jersey and recognize all the names you mentioned. I wonder if they've used different names in different areas at different times over the years. Regardless, I need to buy a box!

i think the most idiotic part is that he asks stupid questions, with relatively simply found answers, are you telling me 60 minutes has no research staff to find out where the money goes, or if riboflavin is good for you.
it's like here are some inanely stupid questions that I want answered, but I'm too freaking lazy too look it up
