The snow is falling in metro Detroit with about 8 inches expected to accumulate by the end of the day.
The National Weather Service in Detroit issued a heavy snow warning, which is in effect until midnight Thursday. Severe winter conditions are expected or are occurring in a heavy snow warning, according to the NWS. Significant amounts of snow are forecast and will make travel dangerous.
Road crews continue to treat roads and freeways, but motorists should be cautious on side streets, which may not be cleared, Local 4 reported.
Due to the predicted winter snow storm, X offices of X will allow employees to leave early today at 3:30p.m.
