Good BA performance programs

Audition season is over for me and unfortunately, no acceptance letters from any BFA programs.

Now approaching my sophomore year in college, I'm realizing that maybe a BA program would be the best fit for me. I have decided that I'm going to work towards getting my AA and taking all the gen ed credits I need.

Anyone know of any colleges with good BA programs? I'm looking for BA programs for performance or with an emphasis in it. Also, extra opportunities for singing/dancing would be wonderful!

Marymount Manhattan College looks like a great option. Has anyone transferred into there? How's the musical theatre minor?

Brandeis University. We have majors in Theatre and Music, and both have various performance concentrations. We also have lots of a capella groups, dance groups, and an Undergraduate Theatre Collective (that puts on many plays each semester) in addition to the department ensembles. Didn't know that. But then again I'm looking at acting programs...I'm not interested in musical theatre. So Fordham is good for regular acting.

Look into Temple University. They have a Theater major with a brand new Musical Theater concentration.

Yeah, the majors that I know seem happy with it. Also, they seem to do a good amount of experimental theatre, especially with the studio shows, though that's not all they do. And they encourage the students to get their hands dirty in things outside of their track. I do think it would be awesome if they did a musical a year, not even necessarily on the mainstage, but I think the improv club is organizing a revue so I'm excited to see that.

Are you looking for Musical Theatre BA or just a general Performance BA? If you want a performance BA I highly suggest Salem State College, although I am a BFA in performance the BA is just as good. Check it out.
