I'm gonna be in NY May 1-6 to audition/interview for schools and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a decent/not too pricey hostel to stay at? Any help would be great. Thanks :)

I used to stay at Jazz on the Park. It's been a good number of years since I've stayed there, but their rates were always very reasonable with a variety of rooming options. The location is good, 106th and Central Park West, and an easy walk to the B and C train at 103rd. When I stayed there they did not have a curfew or lock out time, which is always good, and the other residents were always really nice and friendly. Last time I was there was for rehearsals for a show, so I was there for two weeks and got to know the staff pretty well as well as making a few foreign friends. They also did not require a passport as ID, which some hostels do even if you are a US citizen.
They also have a few other locations around the city which might be worth checking out depending on what would be a good central location for your auditions.
