Raku sushi will close today but reopen Sunday and stay open through Tuesday.

So you can go to Raku for three more days.

Sunday: 4-10 PM

Monday: 12-11

Tuesday: 12-11

Raku is on west 47th between 7th and 8th. (Next door to Scarlatto restaurant and across from MTC)

No word yet on when happy hours will be observed.

And, what is actually the name of the restaurant? Is it Raku or is it Ohraku, as the logo says? Maybe Raku is a nickname for the inside crowd?

Does Raku sushi have the sleek, sexy atmosphere of Bamboo 52?

I will only go to a place that has a sexy atmosphere. Bamboo 52 has a very sexy bar according to Corine.

there is the palm reader next door and you can chat with all the striking stagehands out a few doors down. There were more of them than customers,Corines at Raku when I was nutty enough to stop by twice.

Sueleen, I didn't eat there this week. I ate there once at Corinne's urging last year and it was OK.Dropped her name to Ray and didn't get any bonus fish.
