I'm still not sure that I even like this show (I'm still bitter about the crazy amount of liberties taken in comparison to the books), but it IS the perfect thing to watch after Top Model. I just...can't stop watching it!

Here's the thing with that justagirl.
I enjoy those liberties they took.
I really did not like mopey emo Dan
I like the way Penn portrays Dan and the way Dan is written.
Jenny, also. During book three when she was obessed with Nate, I wanted to go into the book and slap her silly.
On the show, I think she's very sweet and naive.
Also, with Vanessa coming into the picture next week, it will certainly bring some love triangle to the show: Serena/Vanessa/Dan.

I have only gotten to book four, but Dan in the book is bi or gay?
Someone like justagirl or anyone whose read the books, can you explain this?

Posted: 10/18/07 at 2:18amI don't know why, but I really just don't feel anything for Serena and the more I watch it the more I wonder why anyone is supposed to care for her. I want to like her, just like I want to like Jenny but just find her annoying, it just hasn't happened.

Agreed.
Loving Jenny coming out of her shell and owning it. Loved the last moments between her and Blair were great. And her pretending to be Blair to get out of getting arrested was great.
Dan and Serena kissing was so adorable, I cheered when they finally kissed.
The whole scene at the club was great as well, but the best was when Blair was distracting the nurse so Jenny could break out Eric.
I love Dan and Serena, but the chemistry between their parents is something not to be ignored.

In the books, I wanna beat Jenny senseless.
After book four where she is so obessed with Nate, I just wanted to kick her so hard in the face for being so obessed with him and then acting completely offended at Serena's party.
I like Serena more on the TV show than in the books.
She comes off as much nicer and approchable than in the books.

So, all. What did you think of Vanessa introduction to the show?
Glad she's finally on the scene.. and all the drama between her and Dan is wonderful.
Jenny getting back at Chuck was the best: I literally said "You go Jenny!". =)
Nate's father having a drug problem was interesting, and I felt bad that he pinned it on Nate. Bad Dad Award goes to... Captain Archibald. =)
Rufus and Lily kissing was like "Oh my gosh!" and then I was like "But if they hook up, then Dan and Serena can't." I'm so torn. =(
TWO WEEKS till the next Gossip Girl and it looks GOOD.
