Fun for me is Frisbee on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, a tour of the Hermitage Museum, Pyramids of Giza, ruins of Ephesus, a Broadway show. But ballet competitions have their fun and exciting moments too.
How's everyone tonight?

Hi beacon1!
It would be fun to have you along. I met the cutest, nicest Mormon guy on the trip from Chi to London and I sure as heck hope he emails me.
That lemon-licorice thingy sounds fab.

If he's straight...I call dibs! :o)
And, my friend who served his mission in Finland introduced me to that licorice. When he went to Moscow on business a few years later he had a layover in Helsinki and bought me some.

Not sure about what Dave likes, but he was a nice travel mate.
I'll look for the lemon-licorice treat.
Darn I wish I had time to visit Moscow and Saint Petersburg again. So close but not time.

Posted: 5/29/05 at 3:34amI understand about the fun part... it's just that your life in the arts is, should I say, something I would've aspired to. People say the same to me when I tell them what I do (graphic design), and I think "no it's not that fun, really".

I don't know why it just hit me, but you prolly know this great kid (well, he's no longer a kid) that used to take class with us in DC. He won several competitions... Rasta Thomas (sp). It was funny 'cause here was this 12 year old dancing will all the 20-somethings and dancing rings around all of us. Yeah, we were not happy.

Thanks for the Monday morning greets Cookie. (smile)
I hope your Monday is brilliant.
Yes DayDreamer, I know Rasta Thomas. He was a little boy super in DC for Joffrey Nutcracker many moons ago, a real talent. He has won competitions and might be with DTH now (if they are up and running). He wants to be a guest artist with companies and so far that is not working out. He has contacted us several times but we do not accept guests. We are an all star, no star company and our artists must know how to deal with that mentality.

A small world it is indeed. To think I was dancing with him 14 years ago...
What company are you with? I haven't figured it out...
