Hey, gang, Greg's birthday is this coming Thursday (Sept. 28th). I thought it'd be really nice if fans would leave him birthday greetings in his site guest book. Sort of an online public display of affection! Link to the guest book is below. Thanks! - Barb xo

He's got my wishes there, Barb. I had something to send him about a month ago so I took advantage of the large envelope to include a card and VERY small gift. I hope he can put the cam on for a little while on his birthday. (AND that I have a PC again so I can watch it!)

I got the Gypsy of the Year DVD where DRS and Spamalot did a skit together. Very excited to watch it.

I did too, WRQ. I watched it last night. Did you see the DRS bonnet on sale? I'm not sure what you'd do with something like that, but it was cute!

Mamie! I forgot you and the DC'ers were there! You were supposed to find me! I saw like everybody else.

Bad DC'ers.

We were never all together! 2 of us (Harpo and I), and a third from Michigan (bwayaddict) shared a room so I saw them early in the morning before setting out for the day. My friend Miss Pennywise and her family were staying in another hotel and I only saw them late Saturday night after everyone had been to different theatres. I never even saw them on Sunday!

I went down to Little Italy on Friday afternoon for the festival, then Cabaret on Friday night, Drowsy Chaperone on Saturday afternoon and The Fantasticks on Saturday night. I didn't see a soul I knew at any of them (except Cabaret - where I knew in advance that a lot of the 'adults' would be there). Sunday morning I went to the flea market for about an hour and a half and then I met a whole bunch of the BWW adults (from the other thread) over at Pigalle. From there I checked out of the hotel and went home.

Well, that was your problem. I overslept and didn't get to the flea market till 12.

Fine your loss. I still have your money.

Mamie, you were at Drowsy Chaperone too? I was there with a friend. We won lotto and sat front row. totally awesome!

and my friend bought the DRS bonnet. and she's getting John's caricature and pictures in the mail soon.

That's great Dre. I did think the bonnet was awfully cute - just a little too big!

You were in the first row at the matinee? I came in about 45 min before the show started and got a house seat - D106. I was probably staring at the back of your head and didn't even realize it.

That evening after The Fantasticks, I went back to DC's stage door. My friend Miss P's daughter was holding Bob Martin hostage. She had him all tied up in conversation while the rest of the family waited. All the other cast members had gone home by then. I walked up and she saw me and grabbed my hand and grabbed Bob's hand and made us hold hands while she made the introductions. You've never stage-doored until you've stage-doored with Romy!

yeah, it is huge. She's going to take lots of pictures of it, then probably dismantle it and scrapbook it.

I think I was AA 110 or 112. darn! If only I knew you were there! did you stage door after seeing it or just after the Fantasticks?

I'm a douche. I didn't get the right DVD for the DRS/Spamalot skit. The 2004 Gypsy of the year dvd was on sale for $10, so I can feel better that I would have gotten it anyway, but grrr...DRS and Spamalot weren't even open in 2004! It was the 2005 Easter Bonnet! Ulgh!

Thanx Barb for reminding me...I have left a message in Greg's guestbook.

BTW...that Drowsy Chaperone thing. Is it worth seeing? All I have heard was that it's pretty boring..

I thought Drowsy was good...I didn't think it was the best thing ever.

People were saying it's like the funniest show ever...I laughed way more at Avenue Q and DRS.

I think seeing it twice helped. I did a lot more laughing the second time around. But yeah, not as much as DRS. but still, it's the best original idea musical out right now on Broadway.

and yes, rado show tomorrow. any requests?

I disagree. I think Avenue Q is the best original musical on broadway right now.
