I LOVE IT! I can't wait for the next season. I missed the finale though. Did you watch it? I think it appeals to younger people better than ER, because the characters of Grey's Anatomy are just beginning to find their place in life and the guys on ER already have it.
There's a part in one of the episodes where Meredith is talking about responsibility and decisions and stuff. Loved it.

ummmm well.... Spoilers
The whole episode was themed around secrets. Syphallus was being spread around the staff so it was funny because they were all given the safe sex talk. "Now with every banana use a fresh condom"
Edit: Chief has a tumor removed with a surgery that could have made him go blind. Izzie and Cristina do an unauthorized autopsy and find out he died of something that is genetic so they warn the daughter. A man finds out he has an ovary they remove it and discover that he is not fertile but his wife is pregnant. Meredith tells Derek about her mother's illness and they bump into Derek's wife. Uh oh.

I love this show. They did a great job putting it on after Desperate Housewives because the last thing I needed was another favorite show, especially another doctor show, but man, after the first episode I was hooked. I adore the characters, I love that Meredith, Izzie and George are all living together and I'm a total sucker for T.R. Knight. He's so frikin' adorable. Plus I was a huge fan of "Roswell" back in the day so it's nice to see Katherine Heigl back on TV. The finale was awesome. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that, even though it wasn't major surgery, I can't believe Izzie and Christina didn't have that guy hooked up to a heart monitor so they would have known the second his heart stopped beating. that whole "is he sleeping?" thing and "oh, my god he's not breathing!" seemed unrealistic to me. he should have been all hooked up...
also there's four episodes from season one that never aired. but the show has been renewed for a second season and they've increased next season's episode count to 22. once the new season starts they're going to kick off with the four un-aired episodes from season one and then start season two... so next season we'll get a very full 26 episodes.

Well, I watched the season finale with a doctor who was staying with us for the weekend to visit my dad, and he shrugged and said, "You just wouldn't need one on a surgery like that."
I love this show, though!

Question......how is the autopsy of her father save the girls life??????
The phone rang and I missed what they said......

He died of something that was genetic that she could have inherited and if caught early she will be fine. The father's heart was extremely enlarged. I forget what they said the cause of death was.

I love the show, but the whole syphilis thing bothered me......these are supposed to be doctors......who know the risk of unsafe sex.........and I don't think it helps to show them all lined up....like, DUH....wear a condom!
I figured shepard was married....with all the phone calls
