I need a musical theatre number that is upbeat and appropriate for kids between 8 and 15 years old. Something fun and fairly well known that can be split up into a bunch of solo parts.
Thank you in advance!

There is always "The Telephone Hour" from Birdie. It is fun, upbeat and relates a story or at least a situation.
Plus you can go in many directions to stage it including planting the solos in the audience so they would just stand up and sing.
If you are short of people who can really dance, you can do it with movement.

"Consider Yourself" from OLIVER.
"Freedom" from SHENANDOAH
"Supercalifrigilisticexpialidocious" from MARY POPPINS
The obvious "Do Re Mi" from THE SOUND OF MUSIC.
"Hakuna Matata" from THE LION KING
Might be too obvious, but Hard Knock Life if it is mostly girls.
Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile if we stick with Annie.
Happiness from Charlie Brown.
Don't know Matilda but there may be something in there...Revolting Children maybe?
