Well, here we go. Shameless plugging of the pooch. I got my new camera yesterday and proceeded to take some semi-decent photos of the pooch. Here are the results.
Last but not least, the camera has a few “color” tones like sepia and black and white…but also green. So, finally, the Elphapug makes his stage debut as the Wicked Witch.
If he does, it's just because he likes you. My favorite is the one where he's frowning by the couch. I've named it "Sadsies" because he looks like he'd be Sadsies, the Depressing Clown.

They are kind of like kongs. He doesn't have the jaw strength to chew through a kong, though. He also has food allergies (I simply couldn't have anything less than a high maintenance dog) so I have to restrict his diet, meaning that kong crap and peanut butter are out of the question. So, he eats simple treats that are made the same way as his food. Since he chows them down, I use those toys to hide his food so he has to work at getting them out. One is a football with a dog biscuit slot and the cube has two slots. In the photo with him chewing the cube against the couch, you can see the bits of biscuit inside the slots. There's your bit of boring information for the day.
i find it interesting. i tried that with my dog but once he got all the treats out, he much preferred to gnaw on the edges of my coffee table. thank god he grew out of that phase!
Every item made of particle board in my apartment bears the scars of this dog and his weak jaw. If he were stronger, I imagine he'd have eaten his way through them all now. Even my computer desk chair has scars along the top of the wheel areas. fortunately, while the football is kind of weak rubber and he's slowly destroying it, that cube thing is like some poly-carbon steel contraption and he can't hurt it no matter how hard he chews. Plus, he's taken a sudden huge interest in it and that makes me happy.
I'd be close to that in 2 1/2 years. Elphie's "dogfather", who absolutely loves him, always buys him rope toys, which the pooch proceeds to destroy, ingest, and then daddy is left to deal with the "result."
yeah, we gave up on rope toys long ago. it's funny with all the toys that bailey destroyed he still has his lion that was the first toy he ever had from when we adopted him. sure the lion is missing an ear, had his entire mane removed and has a club hand now, but he is still alive. that's more than i can say for many of bailey's other stuffed toys.
well if ya all stoped buying tables made out milk bones, ya wouldnt have this prob

RobbO, Elphapug's breeder gave him a cute little froggie doll which he loved forever and would still have, too...if he hadn't peed on it. and by pee on it, I mean soak it so badly that washing it didn't help. It was just gross so we said bye-bye to history.
aww, poor froggie. bailey still has his frog, his lion, his bear, his doggy, his rainbow-colored bone from rehoboth, but jim desqueaked them because bailey would just sit there squeaking the toys in our faces for hours at a time.
not only that, but wednesday night bailey went on a licking spree. he was licking all over my face, my neck and even my eye!!
it was cute until i woke up the next day with a swollen eyelid that is 2x its normal size. i had no idea what it was from but when i showed my coworker, the first thing she asked was whether the dog was licking me.
and now my eyelid is still swollen and red, and it hurts to blink!
