The thing is, I would have been so repulsed by the very notion of him to be anywhere near him while he was president (as if that might ever have happened) but now that he isn't, I could see myself going to the dinner. These things are so tightly controlled, however, I'm sure there's no chance of spontaneous interaction. But man, if there were... I could think of a million things to ask him. Like, "You had no idea what you were getting yourself into, did you?" And of course, the subject matter could be ANYTHING.

He still has a secret service detail so I don't think there'd be time for that. Maybe just a front grope to see if he came by his cocksureness, as it were, honestly, or if it's all just a big, as it were, act of overcompensation.

I met his father and Barbara during the Clinton years when they attended the symphony. I limited my conversation to, "It's a pleasure to meet you". I was in my twenties and it was my job.

Great question diva- did he ever answer? MTVMANN- kudos to you for attending this dinner- no matter how you feel about him, he still was the President of the US and it's not often that people get this kind of opportunity.

Hell no.

I asked TWICE, because the first time he couldn't hear me, so I just yelled it at him.

He pretended not to hear me again and asked someone else a question. I was wearing stilts in the parade, so when the SS men started to head twords me, I just double timed it to the stilt rack. They had to run to catch up with me.

Losers.
