Either he's a huge musical theatre fan or just a very disturbed individual. Maybe both. Whatever the reason, murdering someone and baking them in to meat pies isn't original, but it is ghastly. (Annnd, possibly delicious?)

I won't lie, the final scene in Julie's Titus always gives me a craving for meat pies from a Scottish Bakery/Import store I used to frequent back in Cleveland.

AEA I'll admit I'm not familiar with that play, but SparkNotes filled me in on the scene you mention. Guy Grinds Up His Father-in-Law and Serves Him For Lunch

Reminds me of the Bob & Tom Radio Show skit where one brother invites another for dinner after their mother's death. During the meal the invited brother compliments how tasty the meat is. As they're conversing about the departed, that same brother remarks how he "never particularly cared for Mother," upon which the other brother delivers the punch line: "What do you mean you never cared for Mother?! You've had three helpings of her already!"

Four notes down and no one here as mentioned the line "annoying singing?"

Pretty much invalidates the whole article for me. Regardless of the writer's opinion, commentary such as that doesn't belong in a news article.

Hi, Shirley Temple Pudding.

I don't think entries from Gawker Media are generally considered "news articles."

Every time I read the title of this thread, I do a double take thinking it's about a guy almost hooking up with his father in law on Grindr.

"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert
