I bought this on a Black Friday sale for $10 last week. It arrived today ...
One of the best-looking restorations I've seen of a classic film. 50 years old now.
It looks like it was made yesterday. A truly flawless transfer. The details in the sets and costumes are stunning.
If any of you were on the fence about buying this, it's a huge upgrade over the DVD, which already looked good. This looks spectacular.
And this is a Warner Archives release! (Meaning it's made on demand.)
I have it and I have to agree it is one of the best blu ray transfers I have seen, Warners has always been very good to this title, it was a big hit when it was released in 1962 and was one of three films released in succession starring Natalie Wood that catapulted her to international stardom, the other two films being SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS and WEST SIDE STORY, which were released within a week of each other.
It's one of Natalie Wood's most memorable performances.

I was on the fence about asking for this for Christmas, so thanks, best! I'm going to request it on your recommendation. This is my favorite Natalie Wood performance.
The transfer sounds wonderful.
Too bad the movie itself is terrible.
Mostly just Roz, though...
