re: HANNAH MONTANA

....if anyone has read some of my rants on children's television....you know what you're in for:

Hannah Montana is a horrible show. Every single show on The Disney Chanel (with the acception of like...3 Playhouse Disney shows)are crap. It's designed for tweenies now. The actors suck, the shows suck, the writing sucks, the way that they sell out sucks, it's just horrible.

What happened to the GOOD children's television? You're about to get a LONG list here: Animaniacs, Darking Duck, Fraggle Rock, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, Bonkers, Adventures In Wonderland, Welcome to Pooh Corner, Muppet Babies, Pee-Wee's Playhouse, Dumbo's Circus, Pinky and the Brain, (the old) Doug, (the old) Sesame Street, and countless other shows. Everything sucks now. That's all.

One of the things I hate the worst is The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. I want to know, HOW DID THEY GET THEIR OWN TV SHOW!? They're horrible actors (even for little kids) and it's the worst thing I have ever seen.

I am very sorry for my ranting....but it had to be said...

re: HANNAH MONTANA

I know what you mean Stalker.
I was watching "Zoey 101" with the saem six year old boy as before (poor kid, he's so TV deprived) and one of the characters said something to the effect of "Pass the sunscreen, will ya?" No please, no thankyou, nothing. Kids shows used to be designed as to teach good manners, and this disgusted me. And what do you know, while brushing his teeth later on, he turned to and said, "hand me some water , will ya?". I wanted to smack the TV execs who let that show on the air.

re: HANNAH MONTANA

Amen, Stalker, amen.

Let me add to the list Rugrats, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Space Cases (if anyone can remember that), Hey Arnold, Franklin, and the plethora of Disney cartoons that apparently execs too cool to revive on their own TV channel. since when did classic animation become such a taboo...?

Also, I don't know how I could forget the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

re: HANNAH MONTANA

Nathan, did you ever think the shows aren't any worse than what we used to watch, you are just older and wiser? i'm sure without the nostolgic memories attached, we wouldn't find some of those shows you listed as great as we still feel they are. I'm just saying...

re: HANNAH MONTANA

I understand what your saying. But the fact is, is that even though these weren't the greatest things ever, they are a helluva lot better than what's on TV today.

re: HANNAH MONTANA

I know a show NO ONE hates. (and if they do, they sadden me.)

JOHNNY AND THE SPRITES!

So adorable.

I think that 5th grader is there because maybe theyre trying to prove that the stuff people teach now is stupid since no one else seems to know what the hell the kids are talking about. my parents cant ever help me with homework, because they dont know what i am talking about. They have never heard of Math A or B. lol

I enjoy Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader.

And Johnny and the Sprites is genius. There has been nothing like it since Fraggle Rock.

re: HANNAH MONTANA

...I used to like Little Bear. But what I find weird is that, that show has been off the air for like...5 years and that tooth paste commercial with him and that little 5 year-old (who must be 10 by now) STILL COMES ON!

re: HANNAH MONTANA

Actually, I find Hannah Montana to be one of the better children's shows on TV. It does have some rather snarky parody of celebrity that you wouldn't expect from Disney.

Mateo: Itz true. That's So Raven teaches kids about Black History month in 1 episode. Also, they mix life lessons & humor into an action-packed show that will leave u laughing 4 hours.

Is it me or did I just sound like a commercial?? Im in a sentimental mood rite now...

re: HANNAH MONTANA

i find myself watching sometimes even though i don't really like it.

i don't find miley cyrus talented, and clearly the only reason she is on this show is because her father is and is helping produce it. it's not what you know, it's who you know. it's an unfortunate rule of life. =(

the theme song gets stuck in my head too, haha. and the kids i babysit as well as my campers in the summer love it. so whatever.
hear my song; it was made for the time when you don't know where to go, listen to the song that i sing, you'll be fine..

re: HANNAH MONTANA

I remember Legends of the Hidden Temple! That's So Raven is probably the best show on Disney Channel. I've actually laughed out loud quite a few times watching it. It has some great life lessons woven into the plots.

Hannah Montana is ok. I think Miley Cyrus is the worst actor on the show. That's one of the things that irks me most about that show is her. My friend saw her in concert along with other Disney people(her little brother wanted to go and she got dragged along), she was lip syncing and she wasn't very at it good either. I know just about everyone lip syncs nowadays but that bothered me even more about her. I've rambled enough.
#45

re: HANNAH MONTANA

Everytime I have seen Miley Cyrus on TV doing and concert or something like that, she is always lip syncing. I doubt that's really her singing.

I do remember Eurekas Castle. The old Nick Jr. was good. I liked Face. Also, it had Allegra's Window, Gullah Gullah Island and The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss.

Also, who could forget Shari Lewis in Lamb Chop's Play-a-long or Charlie Horse Music Pizza (which premired the same year she died re: HANNAH MONTANA )

Nathan: She IS lip-syncing. Seriously. Why else would she sound exactly like the cd and fade-out @ all her concerts? THATZ what I'd like 2 know.

re: HANNAH MONTANA

I have told SOOOO many people about the whole lipsinking thing. They don't believe me. And these aren't even kids. I said, why does the theme song soung EXACTLY the same? There's a certain wh live things sound. They don't sound as perfect, you can hear the lead more.
