re: HANNAH MONTANA

I think Emily Osment is definitely the worst part of that show, Ronin. It's bad, even for a child actor.
One time, Patti LuPone punched me in the face...

It was awesome.

Really? Oh well. I think she's adorable.

I do have to ask though, what are you expecting? The show isn't exactly Shakespeare... the acting is a bit over the top but that's the style all those tweener shows use, it's a bit vaudeville if it's anything.

I think Mylie Cyrus is kind of a bad actor though, I won't lie.

I have to admit, I like Hannah Montana, not quality tv, but just fun

I miss old school Hey Arnold, now that was a great show

"...chessey, and a guilty pleasure"

That sums it up right there. I can't stress enough how much I HATE the current state The Disney Chanell is in, but for some reason I keep watching it. When I'm watching it, I feel like telling the kids, "YOU CAN'T ACT!", but I just keep watching it.

The show is terrible, the acting is terrible, everything about the shows are terrible...but I can't stop watching them! It's the ultimate guilty pleasure for me.

What terrible state is it in though? I don't get it. Are you trying to say that there was a time in history when the Disney Channel was a paradise of quality programming even to post pubscents?

re: HANNAH MONTANA

Nathan- I'm in the same boat! Abba said on one of her posts that it seemed like I didn't like any Disney so why do I watch. For me, it's fun to bash for the same reasons that you said. The storylines are the worst and yet I keep watching with my kids. I think the kid who plays Jackson on HM is hysterical! Even the kid who plays Rico makes me laugh sometimes. I also like the positive relationship between Hannah and her dad- that's good to see. I mostly watch these shows because they are totally mindless and they help me escape my stressful life. Still, I wish they had better plots. Kids aren't as stupid as Disney thinks they are! Gotta go- HSM2 is almost over and I gotta watch the finale!

re: HANNAH MONTANA

Yes, I am. Do you remember it back in the late 80s/ early 90s when it first came out? With quality children and family shows like Welcome to Pooh Corner, Dumbo's Circus, Adventures in Wonderland, Duck Tales, Goof Troop, The New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, Dinosaurs, The Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Darkwing Duck, Quack Attack, Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, The Wonderful World of Disney re-runs and countless other shows? Now we have things like The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Hannah Montana and High School Musical. It's not a channel for FAMILY anymore. It's designed for just tweens and small children.

I over analyze things like this. Don't get me started with The Muppets. lol.

I LOVE Hannah Montana!!!

re: HANNAH MONTANA

Um, I would definitely say that Hannah Montana, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, etc... are much more entertaining than Welcome to Pooh Corner, Dumbo's Circus, Adventures in Wonderland, Duck Tales, Goof Troop, The New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, The Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Darkwing Duck, Quack Attack, Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers, or Tale Spin.

Those shows are walking and talking toy commercials... although I used to love Winnie the Pooh.

I'm watching Hannah Montana right now!!!

re: HANNAH MONTANA

what's with disney buying out shows like power rangers, I only remember the original, but still, I used to have the biggest thing for Kimberly the pink ranger, but upon re watching the show, I find it laughable, but I love Rita's pointy "madonna" boobS!
