re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Not one single child came by this evening. Saddest Halloween I've ever seen. (Beautiful weather tonight too.) I guess they're all over at the mall. Meanwhile I'm stuck at home with a huge bowl of candy.

re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Yeah, once we moved to the sticks and a quarter of a mile off of the street, nobody came to my house anymore. We just weren't used to it since we got lots at the old house.

I went to the parade in Greenwich Village. Very fun, but I left by 8:45 because I was having a very hard time seeing anything because people were in my way. It also took me 20 minutes to walk back to the 9th street PATH station, which was only 5 blocks away. And after that, I went to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre to see their Halloween show at 10. It was really funny. I highly recommend it for those who have never seen it. I'm sure they'll do it again next year, since it sounds sort of annual.

Mamie - sorry it was a bummer for you re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This is my least favorite 'holiday', but if you're into the experience of it, and it doesn't 'happen', that's kind of sad.

re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

SweetQ - aren't 2 year olds the funniest? My nephew knew to say "trick or treat", but when those doors opened the thought of candy took over and it was, "I want some candy!" and "Again" (aka: bring that bowl back, I'm not done!)

He did manage a few thank you's and happy halloween's in between the grabbing and demanding, too funny!

re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Saw kids in costumes all over the UWS yesterday. LOTS of princesses. Every block, there was some tiny female child swathed in more pseudo-taffeta than anyone should be. Cutest kids were the little girl dressed as a policeman in riot gear with a face shield and everything, the little boy in an Elmo costume (he looked hilariously adorable walking around in that thing, stretching his little legs to go up steps), and the really, really tiny little boy in a dinosaur outfit. My ovaries lurched, for crissakes.

I didn't do anything for H'ween other than listen to my bio clock suddenly tick out of nowhere, and purchase a fun-sized bag of candy corn. Oh, and watch Homestarrunner.com's latest Halloween special.
