Posted: 3/19/06 at 9:49pmI'm finding this series rather fascinating. I started watching it to see how they would depict the LDS Church and show that polygamists AREN'T Church members but now the family dynamics are so intriguing.

Yup, I'm watching it. I didn't love the pilot, but the premise is cerainly intriguing. And the show has an amazing cast. So I'm giving it another shot.

Two great nude scenes for Bill.
The show is much better this week.

Posted: 3/20/06 at 4:48pmDo you think there is going to be something between the oldest boy and the young/third wife? The breakfast hug seemed to imply that.

That thought came across my mind too beacon. But at the end, when Bill came to apologize for having sex with Nicki in her bed, it seemed she forgave him. However, I don't think that hug happened for no reason. I think that the relationship between Nicki and Margene is going to get pretty nasty, and I could see Margene needing to be with someone or I could also see Nicki trying to stir up trouble to get Margene out of the family. Plus now Nicki is the middle wife...not the one with the most history with Bill and certainly not the youngest and prettiest anymore. Plus with all the Roman stuff going on...gah, this show is pretty great. It's my new Desparate Housewives.

Sadly, I don't have HBO anymore, so I'll have to wait for the DVD release.
I love Ginnifer Goodwin, though. She was so underrated in "Walk the Line".

How you can make a series about polygamy dull is a herculean effort
They pulled it off. It is dull, dull, dull. We gave up midway thru the 2 nd episode

It's getting better week by week. It's no Six Feet Under but there are seedlings of potential just ready to break loose from the soil. Whether good writing and fundamentals is able to provide enough nourishment for it is left open to the wind.
I really do like the way it's going though.
