Apologies in advance but this is surprisingly funny and remarkably un-offensive...until the very last line, that is.

Which proves that only nazis hate Patti's Rose.
Then I must be a Nazi then. I all ready have the blue eyes *dies hair blonde*
"His kidding, that will never happen." To bad it did...
And sorry for this horribly novice question, but what is the lamb puppet he speaks of, and how does it fit in with Gypsy?

Arthur didn't use a real baby lamb. A stagehand came on with a lamb marionette.
(No kidding.)
Yeah, the ending really sort of sours the whole thing. It was pretty funny up until then.
I, for one, thought the ending was funny

The ending ruined it completely.
^Agreed. But until then it was funny.
I posted a response to the apparent 'offence' of the ending on another forum:
why don't you explain why it is offensive?
The issue I have is your reasoning is in style of "The holocaust caused the suffering of many people, so any humour relating to this is offensive". But you're missing the 'premise' that says why this is so..do you think somehow the 'joke' is undermining or euphemizing the suffering of the Jews?
If the 'joke' suggested that the Jews didn't suffer or their experience was somehow enjoyable, or that Jews were somehow inferior to other people, then I'd claim it would be offensive, though I don't think this 'joke' achieves that.
All it suggests is that Hitler killed the Jews for a trivial reason...hmm a little analogous to something else isn't it?

I thought the message was "Patti LuPone is so awful, she could cause unspeakable evil."
The ending was the funniest part! And I'm a Jew! LOL. That'll have me laughing till tomorrow.
The ending is the only part that is truly transgressive. The rest of it is surprisingly clever--and uncannily written.
One wonders if the writer of the subtitles is not a denizen of BWW or All That Chat...
