"The two party conventions showcased vastly different directions for our country. Sen. Obama and Sen. Biden offered the new ideas and positive change America needs and deserves after eight years of failed Republican leadership. Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin do not."
"After listening to all the speeches this week, I heard nothing that suggests the Republicans are ready to fix the economy for middle-class families, provide quality affordable health care for all Americans, guarantee equal pay for equal work for women, restore our nation's leadership in a complex world or tackle the myriad of challenges our country faces. So, to slightly amend my comments from Denver: NO WAY, NO HOW, NO McCAIN-PALIN."

She will come out swinging and will take Mrs. Palin down! (I was speaking of Cindy McCain.)
i pray to christmas that she does some heavy campaigning for Obama... i'm not sure if he's going to be able to do this without her voice.

PJ, are those your breasts!
HC will be one of our greatest assets this Fall.
Was that comment sexist?

Yes it was! The previous heart was much much sexier!
PJ, I did not fully appreciate your pain until last night. .
apparently Hilldog is on her way to Florida monday? good!
Florida should be ripe for the Dems now. Palin belongs to a decidedly anti-Jewish church, and her extreme conservative views will not play well there.
Remember, Florida is also in the Bible Belt and our governor is Republican (who by the way- would have been an excellent VP choice- very qualified and respected and he's getting married this fall). My husband thinks Florida will vote Republican (not if I can help it!) I heard Gretchen Carlson on Fox News this morning (I was just channel surfing like I always do) saying how Obama didn't need HRC for VP but now he wants to call on her for help. She was saying this rather smugly. I just hope they make a bigger issue about her anti-Jewish church because BWW is practically the only place I am seeing this!
very qualified and respected and he's getting married this fall)
Is he still getting married now that he wasn't chosen to be VP? Or will he go back to being gay?
Shall we check out all the engagement rings for sale on eBay and try to figure out which one is Crist's?
Yeah- the getting married thing was posted very tongue and cheek! As soon as he announced his engagement, my husband and I both thought it was a sham. I mean, how can Florida have a gay governor? We're in the Bible Belt! lol
After thinking about what John McCain spoke about last night. How could he be all up for bucking the Washington system, when Karl Rove is supposedly behind the scenes still pulling the strings?
as an old floridian myself, who grew up there until i was 23, i dont think florida will go Dem either. it may come close like in 2000, but i still think it'll stay red.
sadly.
and i have my reasons...

It is ironic that the headlines this morning are the unemployment rate and the plunging stock market.
Maybe Palin can waive her magic tube of lipstick and make the economy better!
I spoke to my sister who is moderate works nights in plant worker in the Heartland. She did not take kindly to Palid!
