I've heard that there is going to be an open call in late Fall. My friend and I are planning on auditioning and I need a few ideas for a fun 1960's pop song I can use. Any ideas or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Build Me Up Buttercup is always fun!
These are the some of the major hits of the 60s. Break a leg at auditions! Are they in New York?
1. The Twist - Chubby Checker
2. Build Me Up Buttercup - Foundations
3. Sugar Pie Honey Bunch - Four Tops
4. I Want You Back - Jackson 5
5. More Today Than Yesterday - Spiral Staircase
6. Heatwave - Martha and the Vandellas
7. Ain't Too Proud To Beg - Temptations
8. The Loco-Motion - Little Eva
9. Jimmy Mack - Martha and the Vandellas
10. Sweet Soul Music - Arthur Conley

Yeah, the audition is here in NY. There isn't an exact date yet, but it's supposedly happening in "late Fall."
i might be totally wrong about this, but i thought i remembered reading last time there was an open call that all auditionees had to sing "good morning baltimore"...

Hmm interesting.
I always thought that they had auditionees sing 60's pop songs.
that open call where everyone had to sing GMB was the open call for tracy. general calls for singers who can dance, you can sing hairspray songs and upbeat 60s songs as well. and yeah, way more info on the site.
edit: pj! i didn't realize you started this thread. if you're there, i'm there! should be fun. lets wait in line and freeze together, :)

Hell yeah I'm going to be there! Line buddies for life, littlewing.
Well, I was going to audition for Grease using a Hairspray song, so perhaps you can go the other way around.
