Posted: 7/4/08 at 1:48pmMy father is a Vietnam war veteran and I never really had the guts to ask him about his war injuries (He had been shot and his leg was amputated.) until now for a thing I'm working on. Extremely hard to listen to, but I'm glad I did. I had no idea he was a part of the very start of the Tet Offensive.

I was there this afternoon, "4th of July (Sandy)".
That Bruce Springsteen song was always special to me, and I finally got experience this day there. I sat on a bench across from Madam Marie's, watching the world go by.
