Happy, happy birthday, Girly-girl!
I'm sure I told you this last year and the year before, but tomorrow is also my grandmother's birthday. She'll be 86. May you live as long, happy and healthy a life as she has. And, may you be as much of a handful too!

Yesterday and today were a bit maddening for me, but all evened out later on today.
Addy, that sure looks like one VERY exhuberant rendition of the birthday song!
Thank you all for getting my birthday off to a great start!

No cake, but found a recipe that sounds yummy! Wish I could make it for you! Happy Birthday, Girlie!
Cook Time: 50 minutes
Ingredients:
* Cake:
* Nonstick vegetable cooking spray
* 1 package (18.25-ounce) classic yellow cake mix
* 1 cup Malibu® Rum
* 1/2 cup vegetable oil
* 1 package (3.4-ounce) vanilla instant pudding and pie filling mix
* 4 eggs
* .
* Rum Glaze:
* 1 cup (packed) golden brown sugar
* 1/4 cup water
* 1 stick butter
* 1/4 cup Malibu® Rum
Preparation:
Cake Preparation:
Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 325 degrees F.
Spray a 10-inch (12-cup) bundt pan with nonstick spray. Using an electric mixer, beat cake mix, rum, vegetable oil, pudding mix, and eggs in a large bowl for 2 minutes. Transfer batter to prepared pan.
Bake until a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean, about 45 minutes. Cool cake in pan for 20 minutes. Invert cake onto platter, then carefully remove pan. Allow cake to cool completely.
Rum Glaze Preparation:
Meanwhile, stir sugar and water in a heavy medium saucepan over medium high heat until sugar dissolves. Add butter. Simmer until mixture thickens and is syrupy, stirring often, about 5 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat and whisk in rum. Cool glaze completely. Drizzle glaze evenly over cooled cake and serve.
Yield: 1 large bundt cake, about 12 servings

This sounds more like Girly....
Rum Cake
Before you start, sample the rum and check for good quality. Good, isn't it?
Now select a large mixing bowl, measuring cups, spatula, etc. (Check that rum again for quality. It must be just right! Try it again.)
With an electric beater, beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one tsp. sugar and beat again. (Meanwhile, make certain that rum is of best quality.)
Add two large eggs and two cups of dried fruit and beat until very high. If fruit gets stuck in the beater, pry it out with a screwdriver. (Sample rum again, checking for consistency.)
Next, sift in three (2) cups of baking powder and add a pinch of rum, one seaspoon of soda and one cupa papper...(or maybe salt?) Anyway, don't fret, just taste that rum again. Good stuff.
Next, sift in a half pint of lemon juice, fold in chopped buttermilk and strained nuts. Sample rum again.
Now, one bablespoon srown sugar, or whatever color is around. Mix. Well.
Grease your oven and turn cake pans to 359F. Now, pour the whole mixture into the oven ... (HONEY? WHERE'S THE MOP??)
On second thought, forget the oven, pitch the cake and check the rest of the rum. Bo to ged.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
