I was just watching "Cabin in the Sky" last night, and wondered about Lena! How she's doing now...
I love that film, faults and all, but it's one of the few times in Miss Horne's early MGM career that she actually played a ROLE, and didn't just pop up in some (easily editable for Southern audiences) specialty number.
What an amazing talent! And it was great to see her so young and fresh-faced, with that silky smooth voice.
She was perfect as the temptress Georgia Brown.
