Thanks, RobbO. You are sweet to remember. I prefer Secretary to Administrative Professional. Who ever heard of a Administrative Professional of State? Administrative Professional of the Interior?
Actually, besides having a single rose placed on all the girls desks this morning our boss, Mr. Hart, who is usually a chauvinistic pig, is taking us all to Bubba Gump's Shrimps Factory. It is rather awkward as it is the only day he feels he HAS to speak to us so the conversation is rather strained at first, but after his second Pina Colada he loosens up a bit and it becomes a game to see which one of the girls he will hit on first. He knows I am a big old dyke so he keeps his hands off of me, thank the lord, but poor Doralee usually has to hit him off with a stick! She is out today with a bladder infection so my money is on that new girl, Judy.
I'll let you know how it goes and thanks for the well wishes. SH*T, I just broke a nail!

I made it back to the office in one piece, which is more than I can say for Margaret, the office lush, who after her fifth Bubalini Martini was under the table reenacting her 4th birthday when her parents spent her whole party screaming at each other and poor little Maggie was singing Over the Rainbow with her fingers in her ears to drown out the sound... I tried to convince her to just take the rest of the day off, but she insisted on coming back. I hope that bitch Roz doesn't go anywhere near her desk for the rest of the day. Margaret is passed out at her computer in such a way that it appears she is doing some heavy research...
Mr. Hart and Judy have yet to return...don't know what is keeping them.

Of course I did. But the whole office is beginning to reek of Mama Gump Shrimp Cakes. I was able to confiscate a whole bunch of neutra-sweet packages, too. I know a lot of people think that artificial sweeteners are like rat poison, but I can't get enough! And it is rare now to find restaurants that just leave them out for you to help yourself!
