On Friday, June 23, 2006, pet sitters, animal shelters and businesses of all sizes will come together to recognize the great companions dogs make.

This annual event, now in its eighth year, brings people and pets together in a special way on a special day. Dogs go to work. Hearts are touched. And as a result, homeless dogs will be adopted. Take Your Dog To Work Day is the day for dogs.

I'd never heard of this until last year, when I found out my brother had taken his dog to work. I just e-mailed him, and sure enough, Ralph is getting a bath right now and then getting dropped off with my brother for the afternoon!

I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2.

Aaww, such a cute idea! I know having my puppy with me would make the work day much better. But I don't have work today, so I guess I'll miss out.

I work in a grocery store. Although I'd love to bring my dog, I don't think my manager would appreciate it! I should bring him and hope they fire me... I hate being a cashier, some customers are such jerks.

One of my jobs is Petsmart. Every day is "take your dog to work day" there.
