re: Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle

I didn't hate it. I thought that it was actually pretty funny. I loved Dougie Howser, who I didn't even know was in it. I had to admire him for lampooning his image that way.

I loved the two boys turning down the three way with the gorgeous girl because they didn't want to be naked together.

It was the most random movie I've ever seen and I laughed the whole time. I liked it much more than Napoleon Dynamite, and I love Napoleon Dynamite.
"I hope you're all happy, keeping Alan off the team. Couldn't you, for once, open your minds and hearts and hear something that he couldn't see? I, for one, am glad that Alan is blind, so he can't see what, I am so sad to say, you can't hear." -Jerri Blank

I watched only because of Neal and I thought he was pretty funny. the movie itself was okay, I guess. it was the first time I had ever heard the phrase "fur burg**s" and I was rather taken aback by that remark. I'm not a huge fan of the teen road trip movies although eurotrip is definitely a guilty pleasure. re: Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle

Napoleon Dynomite is possibly the most random yet clean movie ever!

Neil Patrick Harris - thank you very much!

re: Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle

i watched this with three of my brother's 14 year old friends...
that was scary.
I liked it, but it would have been more enjoyable without three boys yelling "i saw titties I saw titties" in my ear.
Was that a fat joke?

NPH was funny - especially since we know he's the exact opposite of that.

My favorite bit of dialogue:

"So, how were Katie Holmes' tits?"
"You know what a nuclear holocaust is like?"
"Yeah."
"Well, think of the exact OPPOSITE!"

Yeah, I loved it. The NPH sequence was one of my favourite gags. That he was so willing to destroy his 'Doogie Howser' image was great. After a few viewings, I've really grown to like the character of Randy ('Freakshow') the deformed, recovering Crystal Meth-addict, born-again Christian. My favourite sequence is still the 'marrying the bag of weed' bit.

"You know the show Doogie Howser? Well, Neil Patrick Harris just stole my car."
"Hey! NPH wouldn't do that!"

I think one of the reason I dug the movie is because the characters were well-drawn enough to keep me engaged. They weren't full blown stereotypes like characters in the genre tend to be, racially or otherwise.

I also loved Napoleon Dynamite, but especially because I grew up with a few kids who had Asperger's syndrome and were a LOT like Napoleon.

I saw it last night! I thought it was the stupidest thing I had ever seen, but when Neil Patrick Harris came on, I was shotuing his name and my friends were like, "Who's he?"

I love this movie - I expected it to be terrible, but there were some genuine laughs in it. My favorite part is with the black man in jail.

Harold: Why are you in jail?
Black Man: For being black.

It's so hysterical.

I thought it was rather funny for a pot movie. NPH was great in it. I love Doogie howser just stole my car and the jail scene with the black man. Good stuff.
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!
