Posted: 8/24/09 at 11:14amI watch golf on TV, but this weekend I'll be attending an event for the first time (the Barclays in Jersey City). Any advice, tips, recommendations, etc would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've been to the PGA championship and the US Open. But I don't really have any advice. At the PGA Championship they made us check in our cell phones, so you should leave it in the car. (The US Open was so long ago nobody even had cell phones...it was in college).

Posted: 8/24/09 at 2:11pmI worked the TPC this year in Ponte Vedra. They definitely don't let you bring in cellphones or large purses. Usually, they post on the tournament website what is allowed. Enjoy the time outside and watching all the people in their crazy golf outfits!
