Yeah, I was part of that project to bring the spending together!
Wait until you see what Gap has in store for the fourth brand....Forth and Towne...they are aiming to get the 35 plus market back.

Posted: 6/21/05 at 1:03amI don't shop at Old Navy, but I agree that Gap's sizing is inconsistant. I have several different t-shirts from there. They are the same exact size and style, just different colors, and they all fit differently. It's a bit frustrating, but I still wear them. Same with the jeans. I have 3 different washes of the long and lean jeans, all the same size, and the darker ones tend to be tighter.

Yes!!! I never even look at anything at Old Navy that is a dress, skirt, or pants. They are huge on me!! I've always thought that it is b/c there clothes are made cheaply and they just don't pay attention to the cut and details that makes clothes fit well. I'm skinny and it's hard to find pants that fit well anywhere but Old Navy, Gap are a joke in that sense.
I have a joke about it but I'm sure I'll just get yelled at by someone who cant take a joke.

Ok, I work for the company (see previous posts) and I am up for the joke so.....spill it!!!
You are NOT alone with the fit problem, believe me.

We at corporate are not allowed to have those lovely headsets. And I believe it's only Old Navy that utilizes them.
We sit in cubicles in buildings in SF and stare at walls covered with 8 foot images of Sarah Jessica Parker all day long. Or if you are lucky, you sit in a section with the ads from a couple of years ago, with Ashton Kutcher on a damn bike in the middle of some street somewhere.
The Joss Stone ads are starting to appear now.

Well the joke might be called "politically incorrect" by some, so no offended people please lecturing me b/c its a joke and probably not very funny at that.
I said to my sister once as she was complaining about Old Navy "That one can't expect a 7 yr old child in China to sew very well now can you?"

Posted: 6/21/05 at 6:17amThat's so weird but Old Navy clothes came into conversation during my dinner last night. I'm actually a size 1 in their skirts but a 4 or 6 in their pants. It's very odd. But on the whole, they definitely run big.
