Hi there.
I used to be huge into theater when I was a teenager then as life progressed, lost touch.
Recently I did a blind audition for a local theater company's production of "M*A*S*H*" and got notice today that I got the part of Capt. Bridget McCarthy.
I am not at ALL familiar with this stage-show, and I know she wasn't a television character, so I'm wondering how big of a part this actually is. It is listed fourth on every website I've visited about the stage production.
Does anyone know???
Thanks a bunch!

Ok...so no one wants to answer... I'm just looking for a little insight as to whether or not I want to do this.

I didn't even know M*A*S*H had a stage version, so I can't help you there. But you might want to wait a little longer than a half an hour before assuming that your post has been ignored. These things take time.

I know, sorry, I'm just anxious. *blush*
I have not see the show, but a friend was in it a few years ago (I think he was Hawkeye) and was not thrilled with it; I don't remember if it was the show itself or just that production, though.
Dani, we actually did this show in high school.
If I recall correctly, Bridget is kind of a matronly, no-nonsense nurse who's been there all along (unlike Hot Lips, who comes in during the course of the play). She doesn't put up with Hawkeye & company's crap, but she's not particularly antagonized by them, either. I don't remember it being a particularly huge part, but she does have several scenes.
Our director was cutting this show down for one-act contest purposes, so I remember the actress who played it in our production was royally pissed because her scenes seemed to be the ones that kept getting cut.
Oh, and get ready, because when anyone finds out you're doing M*A*S*H, the first thing they're going to ask is: "Who's playing Klinger?" And he ain't even in the play.
