Pandering to the base: "Glee" for conservative Republicans

Republicans have to realize that they've made a choice. You can't accept that the world is only 6,000 years old and still enjoy Dinosaurs and you can't be a Republican and watch gay high school boys sing Baby It's Cold Outside.
Wait...isn't he gay?
Remember Viva Laughlin?
It ran longer than this will...
"I've spent the last few years being incredibly grateful and kind of amazed by the things that have happened to me,"
Like hitting actresses and being an absolute diva?
I'd never noticed the eerie Karl Rove resemblance before this. Now I can't disassociate the two...

I know, right? And remember, y'all, I've been saying this since you were all paying attention to season one of Desperate Housewives. But Namo hates to say he told you so more than he hates talking in the third person about herself.
"Remember Viva Laughlin?"
Yes. I played Liberace on one episode.
Or it was some other weird, David Lynch style show set in a casino city...
oy
(I still watch DH). ::ducks::
What can I say? I love Felicity Huffman. Vanessa Williams simply sealed the deal. I'm a whore. I can deal with that.
Jesus Christ, didn't Jim and Tammy Faye already do this show?
And when did "Republican" become synonymous with "Christian"?
This guy is such a creep.
This show is gonna be a blast to make fun of though.

I'm still not sure I understand this. It's a cross between "Touched By An Angel" and "Dallas" with gospel music?
So let's break this down. TBAA was a feel good drama that tapped into the angel craze going on at the time. Dallas was a night time soap opera about the indiscretions of a large Texas family.
I get how gospel music would fit into the feel good drama. I don't get how gospel music would fit into a soap opera.
I'm the target audience and the only way I would be interested in this is if Ellen Greene has a starring role. There aren't many stars that can pull off gospel music.
Note to Marc Cherry: Evangelicals listen to gospel music in church. But the other six days of the week, they do listen (and often appreciate) non-gospel music.
Second note to Marc Cherry: A lot of gospel music is appreciated by black people who lean more Democrat, so I'm not getting the demographic here.

Maybe it won't get past the pilot stage.
Is Marc Cherry a Log Cabin Republican? Why does he feel he has to do a special TV series JUST for Conservatives?

I don't know if he's a log cabinette, but he is a Republican.
And when did "Republican" become synonymous with "Christian"?
About halfway through Reagan's first term.

A phenomenon only possible because Jimmy Carter paved the way.
I know from a fairly good source that Cherry has attended at least one Log Cabin private gathering.

Better that than GOProud.
