When I read about The Boy from OZ Tokyo production on Playbill back in...(I forgot), there was a quote of McKinley regarding the Japanese audiences; "They have never heard of Peter Allen or Judy Garland or Liza Minnelli, so this show is like an introduction." or something like that. As I lived in Tokyo for a while, I know for a fact, Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli are HUGE there (for people of a certain age, maybe).

Tokyo is one of the most brilliant cities where you can expose yourself to many art forms from all over the world; I mean ALL over the world. Just like NY only more expensive Have you ever felt like you have to tell people what you know? I was a little bit upset by the comment.

HOWEVER, I do not want to rant in defense of Tokyo here, rather...would like to ask you guys; have you ever had a same type of experience? The recent "Common Misconceptions..." was a very cute example I guess, but...have you? Do you know anything great about other cultures that people usually don't know? If so, please share with me. It is always my pleasure to know and understand other people and cultures.
