Having an I HATE EVERYONE DAY

it's one of those mercury retrograde days when old things are bugging me, in a bad mood and am itching to unload on someone. here's one:
a "friend" auditioned me for his play (he is author & director) and was so psychotic and rude it was hurtful and effected my audition. he didn't cast me (i can't imagine working with him anyway...psycho killer que ce que ce anyone?) but he left me this voicemail telling me how much he loved me when he realized my GF (a composer of considerable renown) was not going to do music for him or throw her PR machine behind him.
i thought i was over it--but it still pisses me off and i just need to share.
anyone else?

Garland, I'm sorry that you're having one of those days. I hate when you just wake up knowing that its going to be a bad day - well at least you have some warning.
In your situation... I don't understand why people are rude for no reason. It does take energy to be really nice, but it takes more to be outwardly rude. It makes life a lot easier for everyone if one doesn't start all the drama.

this guy is not a "rude" person. he's a little psycho. i've dealt with it as a friend for years. he has even directed me in lower-profile things. the situation just pressed my buttons and instead of being supportive he was a jerk and i'm just sore about it today.

I can relate.

I got to work this morning and did a quick check on the condition of the restrooms after a group was in the building later last night. We have the public coming in to use the Family History Center during the weekdays and we try to look our best.

I discovered minor vandalism in the men's room: Wrapped rolls of toilet tissues stuffed into the two toilet bowls and the handicap stall toilet running loudly (all night long???)and spraying water.

So, I had to remove the toilet tissue rolls, and wrench on the valve to shut the toilet off...then call my boss to see if he wanted a plumber to come or our mechanic to do it,etc.

And, I'm still wet (cardigan arm and hem of my skirt). It's "clean" toilet water (thank goodness) The kind dogs will happily drink. Thank goodness. If there had been waste in the bowl I wouldn't have touched anything!

So...I purell-ed myself thoroughly and contacted the person in charge of last night's group with a very "specific" e-mail message...

I had one of those yesterday.

Some of it has carried over to today, though I'm finding small things that are perking me up, even though the problem is quite a huge one. I don't really feel like sharing, but I do hope your day brightens some (yours too, beacs).

i'm trying to cheer myself up. i changed my avatar. maybe i'll get a crappy mag when i go to lunch. nothing cheers me up faster than the clothing commentary in US Magazine. it's the little things.
