I saw the male co-author on Oprah.
I have not read the book, so I may be wrong on the following comment...
This book makes it seem as though NO MAN is EVER that into you.
I feel bad for men everywhere.
Particularly shy men, broke men, and over-worked men.
No woman that follows the philosophy of the male co-author is going to think that those men are into them.
I also feel bad for women with low self-esteem.
They're going to think that no man is into them, has ever been into them, or will ever be into them.
I know a shy guy who is interested in a girl with low self-esteem.
She is interested in him as well.
She recently read this book.
Unfortunately, he's too shy to make any sort of a move, and gets a bit flustered around her.
She takes his lack of initiative as a sign that he's "not that into her".
He IS into her, and I've told her that.
She says that if he were into her he would show it more.
(The book apparently lead her to this.)
She feels that he is not into her, and no man has ever been into her.
When she talks to him, she's less flirty now, because she's trying to protect herself emotionally.
He takes this as a sign that she's not interested, making him retreat and be even less likely to do something about his feelings.
I don't get this book.
I starred in a short film called
Magnetic Personality. Check it out!
