Do we need headshots for college auditions? I'm being told different stories by different people.

Most schools ask that you bring a headshot and resume to the audition. It helps them remember you. So yes.

I can't talk now. I gotta go get my wallet out of the toaster.

Also make sure that when you bring your headshot in for auditions that you staple your resume to the back of your headshot. AND also on the back of your picture write in pen your name and phone number, because sometimes when they file your headshot the resume can become detached.

Check with each school you're auditioning for, as to whether or not they need an official headshot. For some, a photograph is just fine.

its all kinda confusing. every school is VERY specific on what they want and some schools want the exact opposite. what i did was do like an excell spread sheet and like had diff columns for each school and checked off like headshot, resume, and then like what they wanted for each song/monologue whetehter it be a pre-1970 song or classical monologue. some schools even wanted a recording of you singing your auditions songs...
