I am in need of help finding a LArge group musical son for competition. I've listened to a lot of stuff from Xanadu to Aquarius. The Group has to be more then 5 people. Thanks
It depends on if you want a song with solos or or not.
If you want several featured soloists, "You Can't Stop The Beat" from Hairspray or "One Day More" from Les Miserables would be pretty good.
"Forget About The Boy" from Thoroughly Modern Millie works well with a female cast, but it's nothing without tap-dancing. "Madame Guillotine" from Scarlet Pimpernel is very different and quite chilling. If you just want singing and no dancing, "The Ballad of Sweeney Todd" might be an excellent choice.
Although I hate the musical "Starmites" in general, I quite like this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oj905PsO2pk That's not my school, but I wish it was.

yeah, i would prefer songs with some solos and character stuff. Last year we did Springtime for Hitler, and two years ago we won at the state thespian festival for Fancy dress. So something similiar to the 2. would be awesome
One song from Spamalot that could really work is "The Knights of the Round Table." It's a bit of a spectacle in the Broadway version (as opposed to the film, which is much shorter and less...jazzy). "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" is similarly fun, though it does have a swear word in it (ess aitch eye tea) if that's a concern for your group.
It's incredibly cool that your group did "Springtime For Hitler."

The "Tonight" reprise from "West Side Story." Hands down.
