Help: I don't know the title or author...

I'm searching for a book, published within the last year. Can't remember the title or author.

Takes place in a NYC apartment building; each chapter is a different tenant's story, etc. Kinda like "If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things" but not as maudlin. I I think I remember the book jacket being gray.

If any of you know the title or author, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

have you called your local library and asked the Reader's Advisor librarian? Chances are he or she will know....
They may also have one of the several readers advisor databases that could help, too.

Hmmm... it's a little far from your description, but could it be "The Book of Other People" edited by Zadie Smith? Each story is about a different person.

It might be Between Two Rivers: A Novel by Nicholas Rinaldi.
